24 days have gone by since the New Year landed. 24 days since we made our resolutions. Did 3 weeks pass by and already we have gone back to old habits. Forgotten the bloody resolutions already??? Old habits die hard!
This year I will not surrender so easily. I made such great progress last year and I need to push on.
Self control contributes to not only physical health but mental health as well.
What ever work we attempt cannot be perfectly done unless our minds are tranquil and calm; happiness cannot be attained from it. For one who is without peace, where is the happiness? Its all about will power isn’t it. Its no fun it hurts, I’m lazy, it’s cold, it looks good, and I’m hungry…. All the excuses are good
In the same way as, with courage and enterprise, a trainer catches hold of a wild dangerous animal, and slowly tames and finally brings it under control, so too will your will power.
Will power must be cultivated. One must not give in and must work hard to achieve what he wants. For hard work will be compensated with victory and strength.
You should not listen to nor become discouraged by, words of those who are ignorant and too lethargic to bring their bodies and mind under control and fulfill their dreams.
Take a look at your resolution and see why you aren’t doing better or why you stopped, why you didn’t even try.
Ask yourself why you made those resolutions to begin with?? If you wanted to change something doesn’t that mean you aren’t comfortable with that aspect of your life??
For one who is without peace, where is the happiness?
